Péter Kopiás is a computer science engineer and Managing Director of Datastart, where he develops artificial intelligence-based software and robotic systems for industrial applications. He began his engineering career with competitive programming during his secondary school and university years. He then worked as a software developer at internet startups before taking on leadership roles in the telecommunications industry.
Later, he worked as a consultant on large-scale software development projects of national significance, before moving into the fields of robotics and rapid prototyping. His teams have won multiple RoboCup World Championship titles and an IAEA Robotics Challenge award in the field of autonomous robotics. His current work focuses primarily on the development of robotic systems for the inspection of nuclear facilities and industrial automation. By combining artificial intelligence, machine vision, robotics and rapid prototyping, he develops intelligent systems capable of operating in complex and challenging real-world environments.
