Dr. János Kopasz is an Attorney-at-Law and Head of the IT, Data & Cyber Practice at Taylor Wessing Hungary. For more than a decade, he has advised startups and multinational companies throughout the entire lifecycle of technology and AI projects—from development and procurement to market launch, enterprise implementation, and incident response. His areas of expertise include AI governance, data protection, cybersecurity, and EU digital regulation. His advisory approach focuses on turning legal compliance into trust, operational resilience, and a competitive business advantage. He holds the internationally recognized AIGP, CIPP/E, and CIPM certifications. Dr. Kopasz is Co-Chair of the Hungarian Chapter of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and serves on the Advisory Board of the IAPP Privacy Bar Section. He is also a guest lecturer at the Department of Digital and Technology Law at Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary, an invited speaker at the Academy of European Law (ERA), and has been a returning speaker at AI Summit Budapest since 2023.
