Dávid Marsalkó

frontman
Halott Pénz founder

In 2004, Marsalkó Dávid launched his music career under the stage name Halott Pénz as a solo artist. His debut solo album was released in 2009. He gained nationwide recognition in 2011 with the song Angard, which received regular airplay on Petőfi Radio and reached the top of VIVA TV’s music chart. His earlier albums, Még azt mondják nem illik... (2007) and Fejjel Lefelé (2009), also contributed significantly to his growing popularity. Originally conceived as Marsalkó Dávid’s solo project, Halott Pénz evolved into a seven-member band in 2013. On December 10, 2013, the group released its first studio album, Szólj anyunak, hogy a városban vagyok. In 2014, the band released one of its biggest hits, Valami van a levegőben. This was followed in 2015 by the single Emlékszem, Sopronban, which became the official anthem of the 2015 VOLT Festival. In 2016, they released the single Élnünk kellett volna. Today, Halott Pénz continues to write and record new music while performing regularly at concerts and major music festivals across Hungary.
