Dániel Joó, MSc civil engineer, is the BIM manager at BuildEXT. He believes that the future of construction lies in the integration of data, BIM, and artificial intelligence. With a civil engineering background complemented by software development training, he not only tests but also develops AI and automation solutions that make BIM-based design, documentation, and model checking more efficient. For him, it is particularly important that building models play a role not only in design but throughout the entire lifecycle—from construction to facility management—creating real business value. In recent years, he has participated in several projects where models were applied in FM, proving the practical value of digital twins. Together with BuildEXT’s nearly 60-member team, he works on the digitalization of more than 300,000 m² of complex buildings annually, creating internationally remarkable pilot projects.
