He graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) in 1993, and earned his MBA at BME in 2004. Since 1997, he has been working as a consultant and project manager on various IT-related projects, mainly in the fields of information systems design, IT standards, information security systems, and IT security. From 2003 to 2014, he served as IT Director of Drescher Magyarországi Direct Mailing Ltd., and between 2015 and 2019 he worked as an IT consultant. From 1997, as project manager at the St. John’s Hospital in Budapest, he participated in the World Bank–supported Hospital Management Support Information System (KTI) project. In 2004, he contributed to the development of the Hungarian healthcare IT standard, becoming one of the co-creators of the MSZ 22800:2008 standard. In 2007, together with colleagues, he co-founded HC eXpert Ltd., where since 2011 he has been working on the design, implementation, and rollout of the Electronic Health Service Space (EESZT). Since January 2018, he has been the Lead Service Architect of the EESZT, as well as its senior healthcare and e-health consultant. He was a member of the Health Informatics Professional College between 2001 and 2008, and served on its Advisory Board from 2011 to 2016. Since December 2022, he has been a member of the e-Health Expert Panel, and since December 2023 he has been an e-health IT expert at ESZFK Nonprofit Ltd., also serving as a member of the executive cabinet. His key areas of expertise include the design and development of the EESZT service architecture, the digitalization of sectoral processes, and the creation and advancement of structured healthcare documents and a unified national health semantics system.
