Péter Varjú has worked in the Hungarian capital market since 1997, starting out in exchange trading with a focus on derivatives. He has been at Erste Investment Ltd. since 2004, first as a securities trader and investment advisor, later as a team lead and then regional head. For more than a decade he has led the Securities Trading division, and in the past two years he has also headed the newly established Special Transactions business line, responsible for handling all non-standard business needs. With decades of experience, he frequently gives presentations on exchange trading. Since 2020, he has served as Chair of the Trading Committee of the Budapest Stock Exchange.
