Before I started working as a data scientist at Trendency Online Zrt., I was a research psychologist. I combined the approach of computational social sciences with data mining and big data analytics to understand human behavior online. After graduating from Eötvös Loránd University, I switched from academic research to applied data science, while maintaining the rigorous approach required by behavioral analysis. My work combines advanced statistical and machine learning techniques with a social psychological approach to extract meaningful patterns from complex behavioral data. Recently, I have worked primarily in the fields of media and gambling, but my research interests have also extended to online disinformation, virtual reality experiments, automated emotion recognition, and the social psychology of attitudes toward technology. My guiding principle has always been that rigorously designed measurement systems reveal truths about human behavior that intuition alone cannot uncover. In the age of algorithmic influence, I believe that translating psychological insight into ethical data science is not only technically exciting, but also socially essential.
