Zsolt Almási is Associate Professor and Head of Department at Pázmány Péter Catholic University. He launched the Digital Culture specialization within the university’s Digital Humanities MA program and serves as editor of the Digital Humanities journal. One of his main research areas is Digital Culture, with a specific focus on digital textuality, the intersection of AI and philology, AI and the arts, as well as AI and higher education. He has published scholarly articles on these topics in both Hungarian and English, participates in international research projects, and regularly presents at academic conferences. He also leads the interdisciplinary research group AI and the Human at Pázmány Péter Catholic University. His other primary field of research is the oeuvre of William Shakespeare, with particular emphasis on contemporary Hungarian prose and dance theatre adaptations. He writes blogs in both Hungarian and English, runs a YouTube channel titled Shakespeare Daráló, and frequently appears in radio and television as a researcher. In addition to his academic work, he is also active as a theatre critic in the Hungarian cultural scene.
