Carlos Ramas Santamaria (Spain)

Carlos Ramas Santamaria is a Spanish creative director and AI filmmaker living and working in Budapest. He began his career in 2008 and has since worked at several leading international agencies, including DDB and LEGO’s in-house creative team, contributing to global campaigns for brands such as McDonald’s, Telekom, and LEGO. His work spans advertising, brand-based storytelling, and more recently, generative AI-powered filmmaking. Carlos currently leads the MOME Open AI Video workshop series, where he teaches creative professionals, producers, and marketers how to integrate AI tools into contemporary storytelling processes. As an educator and speaker, he focuses especially on rapid creative prototyping using generative models and the technological possibilities of emotional storytelling. He is currently preparing the next two workshop editions, scheduled for October and November 2025. Carlos regularly collaborates with production studios and advertising agencies to push the boundaries of what’s possible in narrative media.
