Viktor Halász

Captain Viktor Halász began his police career in 2011 at the Eger Police Department as an economic crimes investigator and later as a sub-division head. Since 2015, he has served in various investigative and leadership roles at the Cybercrime Division of the Hungarian National Bureau of Investigation (KR NNI). He is currently performing expert-level duties under the direct supervision of the head of the division. During his years at the Cybercrime Division, he has gained extensive experience in investigating cybercrimes, international police cooperation, open-source intelligence gathering, and cryptocurrencies. Additionally, he serves as Hungary’s representative in the European police cooperation platform (EMPACT) related to online fraud and the criminal use of artificial intelligence.
